About The Crafty Kitten, Llanrwst, Conwy

The Crafty Kitten is a craft and gift shop based in the centre of the historic market town of Llanrwst in Conwy, North Wales.

Having spent a short time trading online and at local craft fairs, having started as a "hobby business" we quickly grew and opened our "proper" shop over 13 years ago.

We sell a wide range of craft materials and books and although we started off as a polymer clay specialist, we have since expanded to cover many crafts and can even source items for other crafts if requested.

Many of the gifts that we sell are hand made, the vast majority of which have been made in our store. Those hand made gifts not made in the store have been made locally with the furthest supplier being less than 10 miles from us. This ensures that you really are buying something made in Wales on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park (or in it in some cases). We took a concious decision to do this after my husband and I came on our first holiday to Wales and spent 4 days looking for something that was hand made in the area (almost everything we picked up had "made in China" stamped on the bottom of it and was available in almost every shop we went into. We are pleased to say that every handmade item we sell is only available in our store ( or at most in one other north Wales).

As well as the craft materials and gifts we can also run craft sessions, courses and parties - these can be organised either in the shop or at your own location and in fact we regularly run sessions at local sheltered housing complexes.
